Reflecting on a decade of MPTS
)
Over the past decade, we’ve seen our industry go through huge transformations. The rise of cloud workflows, the acceleration of remote production, the rapid adoption of AI, and the increased focus on sustainability have all played a part in reshaping how content is made and delivered. MPTS has evolved alongside that change - not just by reflecting it, but by actively responding to it.
In 2017 we moved to Olympia, and have now settled in nicely into the Grand Hall. That move gave us room to grow - and the ability to think bigger. We introduced new content zones, expanded into more focused programming, and gave space to the conversations that mattered. From the AI Media Zone and Media Technology Conference to the Broadcast Sport Series and AI training, our programme has continued to grow in both scope and depth. And in 2025, we hit a milestone: 13,000 visitors, 100+ free sessions, 350+ speakers, and a real buzz across every floor of the venue.
What I’m most proud of, though, is that through all this growth, we’ve stayed grounded in our original mission. MPTS has always been about more than the tech on display. It’s about the people - the creative minds, the forward-thinkers, the decision-makers and the doers. We’ve built this show by listening - really listening - to our community. And we’ve shaped it around the relationships we’ve built over the years.
Of course, it hasn’t always been easy. We’ve weathered everything from venue changes and industry consolidation to COVID and the challenge of redefining our space in a shifting market. But we’ve never stopped pushing forward. We’ve continued to innovate, to adapt, and to ensure that MPTS remains the only show in the UK dedicated to the entire content production and technology ecosystem.
So as we celebrate our 10th year, this isn’t just about looking back - it’s about building on what we’ve created. We’re already planning what’s next for 2026 and beyond, and as ever, we’ll be doing that hand in hand with our exhibitors, visitors, and partners.
Thanks for being part of the journey so far - and for helping us shape what’s next.
