
Benji Merrison
British composer Benji Merrison is a World Soundtrack Award-winning and Emmy / IFMCA-nominated artist renowned for his versatile and evocative scores across film, television, and live events. His distinctive musical voice has led to collaborations with major UK broadcasters and international networks.
Residing in London, Benji's notable works include the acclaimed BBC series Dynasties (2018), narrated by Sir David Attenborough, for which he co-composed the original score with Will Slater, leading on to a second series Dynasties II (2022), further solidifying his reputation in natural history programming. His recent projects encompass the feature film SAS: Red Notice (2021), the documentary The Beatles and India (2021), the BBC Attenborough series The Green Planet (2022), as well as Capturing the Killer Nurse (2022) and Missile from the East (2021).
Benji has recently scored additional music alongside Martin Phipps for the Netflix thriller Black Doves and co-scored the BBC Agatha Christie drama Towards Zero (2025). His work continues to be recognised for its depth, emotion, and originality.
His compositions are characterised by a blend of classical training and innovative sound design & electronics, reflecting his passion for both traditional and experimental music forms.
