
Chris Sarson
Chris Sarson thrives on making things happen. With over 16 years of experience in the broadcast industry, he began his career at Nats Post Production as a VT operator and edit assistant, honing his skills on Avid and Final Cut Pro. He later joined Evolutions, where he was first introduced to Baselight.
In 2006, Chris took on the role of Technical Manager at ITV’s The London Studios. There, he managed teams and technical workflows for prominent productions such as Come Dine With Me, and led on-site technical operations for flagship events including The Royal Variety Show.
By 2012, Chris joined Timeline Television, supporting Avid, Adobe, and EVS systems on a global scale for major sporting events. His work included on-location support for Sky Sports’ award-winning Formula 1 coverage. Throughout his career, Chris has built a reputation for delivering robust technical support, workflow integration, and training across a wide range of broadcast systems.
Now at The Collectv, where he is Managing Director and Co-owner, Chris continues to push the boundaries of broadcast innovation. Under his leadership, The Collectv was named "Tech Team of the Year 2024" for its work on Netflix and Box to Box Productions’ Tour de France documentaries. The team also delivers ongoing support for Sky Sports Darts productions and has been instrumental behind high-profile shows like Netflix’s Drive to Survive. Most recently, Chris and his team managed the outside broadcast for the prestigious Autosport Awards.
