Daniel Mulligan is a Colour Scientist and founder of imaging company ColorQ, with over 30 years of experience in film production, including Formula 1, drama, and features. Since 2004, Daniel has led digital cinematography projects, notably contributing to the installation of the world's largest LED volume in Melbourne, Australia, in 2022. He actively shares his expertise as a key member of the global virtual production community 'Starting Pixel'.

Initially a Cinematographer and later a Digital Locations Manager, Daniel closely collaborated with VFX studios, mastering colour grading and imaging workflows. Today, he trains professionals and innovates in colour science for LED volumes and virtual production, emphasizing wall calibration, sensor-camera alignment, and image processing. Daniel continues into 2025 as a dedicated educator and leader, driving advancements in colour accuracy and calibration for LED-based virtual production.
