Georgina Cammalleri is a BAFTA-winning and Sports Emmy-nominated filmmaker based in London. After a successful producing career, she transitioned into directing with her debut on Bad Sport (Netflix), co-developing and directing the acclaimed Horse Hitman episode. Her first feature documentary, Right to Fight (Sky), which tells the story of the pioneering women of US boxing, screened at Sheffield DocFest and DOC NYC, and earned recognition at the Sports Broadcast Awards and Broadcast Digital Awards.

Currently developing three new documentaries—including the Untitled Twin Athlete project supported by Chicken & Egg and Catapult Film Fund—Georgina brings a grounded, story-first approach to emerging technologies. On this panel, she shares her perspective on using digital twins of locations in non-scripted filmmaking, exploring the creative potential and limitations of virtual production in pursuit of authenticity.
