Lorna Gatherer Ford is CEO of Location Works, the world’s longest-established locations agency for filming, photographic shoots and events. Founded in 1985 and online since 1996 (before Google), the company works on hundreds of projects each year and continues to lead the sector it helped define. With over 21,000 clients and 4,300+ real-world locations—many of historical significance—Lorna is now overseeing the company’s development of digital twin assets, catering to industries such as virtual production, gaming and virtual tourism. This work began in 2020 through Innovate UK and focuses on monetising IP and ensuring fair payments for location owners.
