Muki Kulhan
Muki is a multi-award-winning, BAFTA-nominated Chief Innovation Officer, Executive XR/R&D Producer and Creative Technologist of Muki-International. A friendly and familiar face at MPTS as a regular moderator, Muki has over two decades of pioneering interactive, immersive experiences and R&D strategies for music, sports, live events and broadcasting.
Currently, for the IBC Accelerators, Muki leads IBC’s flagship R&D Innovation programme, bringing together the global media industry to collaborate as high-level consortia that develop tangible learnings and open solutions for timely, industry-recognised themes that span our media production and tech ecosystems. Her expertise spearheads end-to-end creative, progressive production and broadcast engineering within Emerging Media, Interactive XR, AI/Agents/Voice, Spatial Computing, 3D Digital Replicas, Content IP Protection and Live Fan Engagement.
Other clients past and present include Red Bull, Paramount, BOSE, The National Gallery London, Samsung and BBC’s The Voice UK, where she EP’d “The Virtual Voice’, BBC’s first-ever series of 360°VR “way back” in 2015. Previously, she spent over ten years in the ‘00s launching MTV International’s first-ever digital platforms, websites, apps, live-streaming, and groundbreaking interactive stunts.
Muki is also a passionate, proactive and infinite supporter of DEI initiatives and proudly serves as the UK Ambassador for Women in Immersive Technologies Europe (WIIT), the globally respected NGO she’s been with since its inception in 2016, built on an inclusive and diverse network of talented women, non-binary and those who identify as women working in immersive XR and spatial audio. Since 2019, she’s also been the Resident MC of Soho Media Club, a free media industry club that embraces and promotes equality and positive culture change.
As a professional moderator and keynote speaker, Muki is also in demand on the global speaking circuit and appears at events such as Abbey Road Studios Spatial Audio Forum, Innovate UK, British Screen Forum, AWE, IBC, SVG, SportsPro, AIXR XR Awards and more. She also sits on several Advisory Boards, Juries and Committees, and regularly contributes to tech papers, standards, frameworks and thought leadership publications focusing on emerging technologies for media and entertainment. Oh yeah, and she’s a huge fan of animal rescue shelters too, with a special biggup to pointy-faced Sighthounds and ex-racing Greyhounds at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.
