Sponsored Session Guidelines
MPTS offers you a unique opportunity to present your ideas to the industry’s key decision makers and influencers from all areas of the media, broadcast and production industries.
In order for you to make the most of your time in the limelight, here are some key do’s and don’ts that are important for you to take note of before you start planning your session.
If you need further guidance, please feel free to get in touch with cherry.portbury@globaldata.com.
Please ensure we receive your session title and synopsis by 7th March, in time for the programme going live. You can still make changes to your session after this date but having some content from you enables us to include your session and logo on the programme, which allows for maximum exposure as we promote it.
- Give a sales pitch. You must talk about a project your Company has been involved with.
- Deliver an all-male panel – MPTS strives to deliver gender equality across the show and in particular female representation on panels; there are many amazing female colleagues out there who would be delighted to be asked to contribute! For any more information have a look at www.risewib.com
- Rely heavily on powerpoint – it’s not engaging, and you’ll lose your audience.
- Turn up at the last minute – be punctual!
Stand out from the crowd
Choose an attention-grabbing subject matter and session title, which is appealing to your potential audience. It’s an interactive show, and you need to be more interesting than whatever else is happening on the show floor. Content is King!
Include a case study
Present a project your Company has recently been involved with and make sure that you bring along your end users/customers for their vital contribution. Context is everything.
Diversity & inclusion
Pay attention to the MPTS policy on diversity and inclusivity* and in addition you must include at least one female contributor if your panel exceeds two males.
*available upon request
Assign a Chairperson
It is your responsibility to assign a chairperson – someone who can direct the conversation and keep things on track.
Keep to time
Keep within the given time allocated to your session. The theatres operate a full daily programme so don’t delay the next contributor! Remember to leave 5-10 minutes for questions at the end.
Make it visual
Include interesting video/audio footage or another “hook” to encourage audience engagement.
Call to action
Make your session memorable, Tweetable and think about giving your audience a “call to action” so they reach out to you after the session. Don't forget to include contact details at the end so they know how to find you.
Practise to make sure you’re comfortable with the content and timing and be mindful of the audience and language choices you make.
Most of all, be inspiring and engaging. Smile and enjoy yourself!
Please aim to have as much of the following information to us as possible by 7th March 2025.
